Job Description: Oversee all aspects of the accounting and financial functions for the manufacturing operations. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements. Maintain and review the general ledger, ensuring all entries are in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies. Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Conduct and review reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy and providing backup documentation. Manage cost accounting functions, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. Oversee inventory controls, including cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciliation with financial records. Prepare and monitor budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances, and providing actionable insights to improve financial performance. Track capital expenditures, asset depreciation, and prepare fixed asset schedules. Review and approve expense reports, payable invoices, and capital expenditures. Conduct financial analysis to support management decisions and evaluate new manufacturing initiatives or projects. Assist in managing external audits, ensuring compliance, and providing all required documentation. Support regulatory compliance, including tax filings, reporting requirements, and adherence to internal controls. Lead or participate in special projects aimed at improving efficiencies, reducing costs, and enhancing internal controls. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA designation preferred. Proven experience in a controller role within the manufacturing industry. Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and standard costing methods. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, ideally within a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and internal controls. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines. Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
