We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Procurement Manager who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. The ideal candidate should be an expert in non-perishable goods procurement with a solid background in supplier performance evaluation and SAP. This role will involve managing and optimizing procurement processes, ensuring the best quality and cost-effectiveness, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the procurement of non-perishable goods, ensuring the best quality and cost-effectiveness. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's business goals. Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with company standards and contractual agreements. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms. Utilize SAP software for procurement processes, including order processing, inventory management, and supplier management. Conduct market research to identify new potential suppliers and keep up-to-date with industry trends. Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast demand and establish procurement schedules. Manage and resolve any issues related to procurement, such as delivery delays or quality issues. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, as well as applicable laws and regulations. Foster and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding. Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations to assess their capability, delivery performance, and compliance. Lead, manage, and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically with non-perishable goods. Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese, both written and spoken. Strong experience in supplier performance evaluation. Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP system. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex contracts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement. Ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex procurement issues. Knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to travel as needed.
