Precise Software Solutions, Inc. is seeking experienced and highly motivated Business Development/Capture Directors to join our team. This hybrid role is based out of our headquarters in Rockville, MD. Candidates must be located in the Washington DC metro area. As a key leader in our organization, you will be instrumental in driving the capture of new corporate opportunities and expanding our portfolio with the federal sector. The role offers significant influence on the development and execution of our federal business strategy and requires expertise in federal procurement processes, market intelligence, and relationship building.
Role Overview:
The Federal Business Development Director will lead our business development efforts in the federal sector, focusing on identifying and securing new opportunities, building strategic relationships, and overseeing capture strategies. Reporting directly to the CGSO, this leadership position will collaborate closely with key organizational leaders to expand our federal business, particularly in Health IT, Federal Civilian, Homeland Security, and Defense sectors.
Responsibilities
- Federal BD Strategy Leadership: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive federal business strategy to meet revenue objectives and drive sustainable growth in the federal sector.
- Capture Leadership: Spearhead capture efforts for new business opportunities and support re-compete contracts, including shaping and solutioning proposals to meet client needs.
- Pipeline Management: Maintain and manage a qualified pipeline of opportunities, ensuring accurate updates, stage gate reviews, and preparation for go/no-go decisions.
- Opportunity Identification: Aggressively seek and identify high-quality sales opportunities within the federal government, particularly within HHS, Health IT, Federal Civilian, DHS, and Defense markets.
- Relationship Development: Foster long-term relationships within federal agencies and strategic partners to generate repeat business, increase brand awareness, and secure new teaming opportunities.
- Proposal Support: Collaborate with internal teams in proposal development, including contributing to content creation, win-theme generation, and proposal reviews.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on market trends, competitive intelligence, and changes in federal procurement regulations to ensure that Precise remains competitive and well-positioned in the federal market.
- Understand Precise's Capabilities: Stay informed about Precise's core capabilities, solutions, and long-term strategies.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with solution architects and proposal teams to deliver high-quality, credible, and compelling solution offerings.
Skills/Experience
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in developing, executing, and securing contract wins.
- Established Network: Existing relationships within HHS, Health IT, Federal Civilian, DHS, and Defense markets.
- Team Player: Collaborative, multi-tasking professional with strong reasoning, oral, and written communication skills.
- Federal Contracting Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of federal government structures, agencies, and procurement processes. Familiarity with tools such as SAM, GovWin, and similar platforms is essential.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with executives and stakeholders at all levels.
- Multi-Tasking Excellence: Proven capability to handle multiple capture opportunities simultaneously.
