Job Description:
Our EdTech client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Enterprise Architect for a contract-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with large enterprises, along with a deep understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Service Mesh technology. As an Enterprise Architect, you will be responsible for designing, guiding, and implementing architectural frameworks to support scalable and efficient business operations. The role will require you to collaborate with cross-functional teams and business leaders to drive the companys strategic technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of architectural frameworks and strategies for large-scale enterprise systems.
Provide architectural guidance on SOA and Service Mesh implementations to enable scalable, efficient, and secure application architectures.
Lead the integration of diverse technologies, ensuring smooth system interoperability and minimal disruption to business operations.
Define and enforce design principles, patterns, and governance across the technology stack.
Document architectural decisions and designs, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
Required Skills:
5+ years of recent experience as an Enterprise or Solutions Architect
Expertise in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), including the design, deployment, and management of SOA-based solutions
Expertise in Service Mesh technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, or similar, and their application in large-scale enterprise architectures
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
Expertise in enterprise-level integration strategies and middleware platforms.
Deep understanding of systems design, development methodologies, and infrastructure architecture
Bonus/Soft Skills:
Familiarity with tools for architectural design, documentation, and communication (e.g., ArchiMate, UML, or similar)
Experience working in the EdTech sector or a related domain is a plus
Strong communication skills, both technical and non-technical, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address complex enterprise-wide issues
TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification
Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) are a plus
Service Mesh and SOA-related certifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters preferred)
