Close All Job Summary CU Boulder's Computational Multiscale & Multiphysics Laboratory is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to advance research in surrogate modeling using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques. The primary objective of this position is to develop predictive and optimization models for the compressive strength of concrete based on mix design parameters, with a special emphasis on low-carbon optimization. Concrete strength is influenced by complex, nonlinear relationships among components such as cement, water, fine and coarse aggregates, and chemical admixtures. Furthermore, the environmental impact of concrete is closely linked to the carbon footprint of these materials, particularly cement. This research aims to address these challenges by leveraging innovative computational tools. The University of Colorado Boulder is committed to building a culturally diverse community of faculty, staff, and students dedicated to contributing to an inclusive campus environment. We are an Equal Opportunity employer, including veterans and individuals with disabilities. Who We Are The fields of civil, environmental and architectural engineering offer careers in planning, design, construction and management of the built environment as well as in the interaction between the built and natural environment.
