Science Systems and Applications, Inc (SSAI) is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic communications team supporting NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). The selected candidate will craft engaging, compelling narratives for digital marketing that support awareness of NASA Earth science data and information. This is a telecommuting position. Occasional meetings or events may require you to report to the office on an as needed basis. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the team's digital marketing strategy and create, curate, and manage content across NASA Earthdata social media channels and other digital marketing tools, working closely with scientists, engineers, and other experts to highlight work in data science, environmental research, and advanced technologies in data. The role will focus on increasing visibility, building community engagement, and driving awareness NASA's contributions to science and innovation. Duties include, but are not limited to: Content Creation & Management:

Develop and implement a creative, cohesive social media strategy to showcase SSAI's projects, research, and technological advancements. This includes creating compelling multimedia content (graphics, videos, blog posts, and more) for various social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.). Campaign Development & Execution:

Plan, manage, and execute marketing campaigns that promote NASA Earth science data. Work closely with project teams to ensure content aligns with the goals of each initiative. Audience Engagement:

Manage day-to-day social media interactions by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries, fostering a positive community atmosphere, and building relationships with key stakeholders. Brand Messaging & Storytelling:

Work with internal teams to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, engaging content that resonates with both technical and non-technical audiences. Analytics & Reporting:

Monitor and analyze performance metrics across social media platforms, using insights to optimize content, improve engagement, and adjust strategies as needed. Collaboration:

Work cross-functionally with marketing, communications, and technical teams to ensure content is accurate, on-brand, and aligned with SSAI's goals. Trend Analysis:

Stay up-to-date on the latest digital marketing trends and social media developments, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging platforms and technologies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, or public relations, with a focus on content creation and audience engagement. Proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools. Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to convey complex scientific concepts in an engaging and accessible way. Expertise in content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or Canva. Knowledge of SEO, digital advertising, and online community management best practices. Creative thinking and ability to innovate in the digital space. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines. US Citizenship required. Desired Qualifications: Experience in the science, technology, or aerospace sectors is a plus. Experience organizing a digital newsletter. Passion for science, space exploration, and technology. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with Earth science is a plus. EOE, including disability/vets Physical Requirements:
