Head of Warranty and Project Management - Full Time - Houston (TX), United States

We are looking for a Head of Warranty and Project Management to join our Energy team in United States. Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Manages all projects for SPUSA. Drives synergies between SPUSA and other Sulzer entities to maximize the benefits of a Global Virtual Factory environment. Streamlines PM processes to maximize efficiency and reduce cost. Performs supervisory function in SPUSA PM/Warranty department, including hiring, disciplining and performance reviews. Ensures order entry, initial project setup & hand-over with all contributing entities are performed on time and in quality. Executing any scope under SPUSA direct responsibility such as engineering, PO placement/follow up and logistics. Issuing Inter-Company (I/C) PO’s, coordinating, and resolving I/C issues. Issuing invoices and driving cash collection. Partnering with I/C entities and legal/commercial to resolve customer claims and disputes. Overall accountability for all warranty issues starting from claim notification until closure and lesson learned by partnering with key involved functions (PM, engineering, procurement, operations, legal/commercial, services). Overall accountability for all warranty project deliverables including but not limited to hardware, financial and commercial outputs, dispute management, customer satisfaction and on time delivery. Overall accountability for effective warranty project cost and where possible recovery of costs/income leading to profitability. Provides counsel to Project Management offices on key negotiations with SPUSA customers; directly leads discussion and negotiation of large claims / commercial settlements. Provides accurate financial forecast (sales, cash) from I/C Sulzer entities, assesses risks and opportunities, and drives achievement of SPUSA financial targets. Participates in project reviews. Acts as the Senior Sponsor/Reviewer for large/complex projects as necessary. As a senior member of the PM leadership team, drives assigned global initiatives working closely with other regions and HQ to standardize procedures, harmonize tools and drive a Project-focused organization. Develops and maintains KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to track project execution both for local and global reporting and project control purposes. Acts as leader of Process Improvement Team and initiates cross-functional process improvements for all facets of New Equipment project execution including lesson learned and feedback to Sales & Tendering. Drives continuous improvement and works with SPUSA management team to develop policies and procedures in support of the attainment of key project and warranty targets through disciplined and organized working practices. To succeed in this role, you will need:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related field, or equivalent education and experience combined is required. 8 years’ technical pump and pumping system knowledge preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong computer skills in use of WINDOWS/WORD/EXCEL/POWERPOINT/OUTLOOK. Strong time management and project management skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Spanish preferred. What we offer you:
