Compensation range: $28.62 - $38.64 Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience
Shift: Varied Shift length: 12 Hours Days off: Variable Hours per pay period: 12-24
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Paramedic is a licensed professional who provides direct patient care and transport in the prehospital setting, according to approved EMS protocols and under the direction of the Base Hospital Medical Control. This position reports to the Paramedic Field Supervisor.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: Hazardous Materials training to the First Responder Operations Level prior to the conclusion of department orientation
Desired: One year experience in the pre-hospital setting
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum: Currently licensed by the California Emergency Medical Services Authority as a Paramedic Sierra Sacramento Valley Emergency Medical Services accreditation within 45 days of hire unless an extension is granted by the issuing authority Current CPR recognition Current ACLS recognition Current PALS or Handtevy Prehospital Pediatric Provider recognition within 6 months of hire PHTLS within 6 months of hire (tracked by dept) ICS 100, ICS 200, and ICS 700 within 6 months of hire (current Enloe Paramedics have until Feb 29, 2024 to obtain this) (tracked by dept) California drivers license with ambulance drivers' certificate to include the medical exam certifi- cate. (HR collects & sends to compliance upon hire and then tracked by dept) Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center's Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21)
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must be able to work effectively with peers, other departments, first responders and the public using good interpersonal skills, discretion and diplomacy. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
