Compensation range: $18.35 - $28.73 Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience
Shift: Nights Shift length: 12 Hours Days off: Variable Hours per pay period: 72
POSITION SUMMARY:
The EMT maintains and drives the Ambulance and assists with patient care within the EMT scope of practice under the supervision of the Paramedic. This position reports to the Paramedic Field Supervisor.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: Must have Hazardous Materials training to the First Responder Operations Level prior to the conclusion of department orientation
Desired: Previous experience in patient care
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum: Current Certification for EMT I recognized by a Registered California State EMS Authority California Driver's license with Ambulance Driver's Certificate to include Medical Exam Certificate (HR collects & sends to compliance upon hire and then tracked by dept) Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center's Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21) Current CPR Certification EVOC within 6 months of hire (tracked by dept) ICS 100, ICS 200, and ICS 700 within 6 months of hire (current Enloe EMTs have until Feb 29, 2024 to obtain) (tracked by dept)
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must demonstrate technical competence, professional clinical judgment, communication skills and sensitivity for the patient and family in crisis. Must be able to work effectively with peers, other departments, first responders and the public using good interpersonal skills, discretion, and diplomacy. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
