Corpay is currently looking to hire a Head of Institutional Saleswithin our Cross Border division. This position falls under our Cross Border line of business and is located in New York, NY. This role is responsible for the lead expansion of the client base for our Institutional risk management solutions, payments services, and global account platform businesses across alternative funds, private capital managers, family offices and institutional investors. You will report directly to SVP of Global Institutional Sales, and regularly collaborate with Cross Border team.

As a Head of Institutional Sales, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

Role Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting alternative investment firms (e.g., private equity, hedge funds, venture capital) and their service providers (e.g., fund administrators, lawyers).
  • Identify new business opportunities by researching and engaging key decision-makers in the alternative investment sector.
  • Understand client needs across FX, global payments, treasury management, and compliance, tailoring Corpay solutions and delivering presentations to leadership.
  • Build long-term relationships with C-suite executives, CFOs, and other key stakeholders, positioning the company as a strategic partner.
  • Lead the entire sales process, from prospecting to contract closure, ensuring all activities are tracked in CRM and participating in sales campaigns.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes, providing feedback to enhance product offerings.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams for seamless client onboarding and provide regular sales forecasts to management.
  • Ensure effective communication between clients and customer service teams to meet onboarding and operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities for product development to increase diversification and embed clients further in the Corpay ecosystem.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 10+ years of experience in business development or sales within financial services, with a focus on the alternative investment industry.
  • In-depth understanding of the alternative investment space (private equity, hedge funds, real estate, venture capital) and its unique challenges.
  • Proven success in meeting sales targets with a consultative sales approach and experience in managing complex sales cycles and negotiating high-value contracts.
  • Established relationships with key decision-makers in the industry (CFOs, COOs, General Counsel, and General Partners), leveraging network for business development.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to present banking solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with banking products for alternative investment firms (fund banking, FX, cash management, capital call facilities) and financial technology platforms.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and well-organized, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities independently and within a team.

This salary range is provided for locations which require such disclosure. Where a position or applicant may fall in a particular wage range varies depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications (if applicable), and other business and organization needs. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic markets. At Corpay, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. An estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is $160,000 - $200,000 + commissions.
