About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales and Business Development to lead our US Institutional team and drive the growth of our organization in the country. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of crypto, current regulatory landscape in the US and traditional finance capital markets businesses. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership, people management, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a results-driven approach. The position has a dual responsibility - 1) achieve new sales results for OKX products in the US Market and 2) Establish deep relationships with the client base and bring back the voice of the customer to the firm in order to help drive new products and services.
The US Head of Institutional Sales will set the vision for revenue strategy and also partner with various functional groups to ensure success across all products and services in the region.

The salary range for this position is $219,000.00 to $314,000.00. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. In addition to the salary, a performance bonus and long-term incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. What You'll Be Doing
- At the outset, the role will be entrepreneurial helping build a robust client portfolio for OKX US. The candidate will be responsible for leading the effort to acquire net new clients for the US franchise as well as develop new business in existing or dormant accounts.
- The individual will be expected to apply his / her sales and marketing experience to provide insights, guidance and leadership to promote new ideas and revenue channels
- Work within regulatory frameworks to set and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
- Manage teams for identifying and developing major accounts, fostering long-term relationships with high-value clients, driving account growth through strategic initiatives and personalized engagement, and developing and maintaining global partnerships.
- Collaborate with the product team to enhance existing products and develop new offerings that meet market demands, ensuring product alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Lead and inspire a US business development team and maintain a seamless relationship with the Global Sales Teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration, while setting clear objectives, providing mentorship, and driving team performance to achieve ambitious targets.
- Hold the sales and BD team accountable for achieving targets
- In-depth knowledge of the US Capital Markets and Crypto Markets.
- Strong background in developing and managing major accounts in the US.
- Extensive experience in building partnerships with traditional finance clients and institutions.
- Experience building and closing sales pipelines and being compensated on achieving demonstrable results
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with product teams to enhance and develop market-relevant products.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of leading and growing high-performing global teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong focus on achieving results and driving business growth.
- Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
