As a Director for Strategic Outbound Marketing in the Compute and Networking Business Unit (CNBU), you will need be responsible for driving strategy and planning for product marketing for the memory business at Micron. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, strong writing and communication skills, and strong messaging and value proposition development skills! The candidate will also need to work with product development, sales, and management, as well as other business units and central marketing to align new products with the overarching Micron brand message and effectively market our memory product portfolio!

Job Description and Key Responsibilities:

Develop the CNBU external product marketing, communications strategy and plan (including target audiences and region prioritization), working collaboratively with key internal partners within Micron

Work with product development, sales, central marketing, and management to ensure effective introduction of new products to the market by working collaboratively through the launch planning process

Oversee the development of memory-related content, including product briefs, blogs, white papers, case studies, and other digital assets

Build and implement plans to increase partner and customer engagement

Manage tradeshow schedule and associated messaging, working closely with the central marketing team and with CNBU Product Management and Segment Marketing partners

Develop product-specific value propositions to be implemented as marketing collateral, working closely with the Data Center and Client Workload Engineering team

Forecast and track outbound and internal marketing budget

Build and Manage CNBU-specific internal messaging and training campaigns

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the products, customers, and ecosystem partners related to the semiconductor market.

A deep understanding of semiconductor economics in a high capital expense, fabrication-oriented business. Experience in memory and storage product businesses, especially, is a plus.

Experience leading cross-functional teams & multi-cultural teams in WW locations is required. The candidate will bring experience working with customers, and leading key customer accounts with sales teams.

The candidate will be excellent at communication and presentation skills.

The perfect candidate will have an outstanding ability to prioritize, coordinate, and build marketing strategies, as well as showcase product benefits and craft marketing materials for significant tradeshow events.

Success at the role requires strong interpersonal skills dealing with executive leadership, peers, and team members.

10-15 years of dynamic, leadership and marketing experience, working in the semiconductor industry

B.S.E.E or similar degree and an MBA is preferred

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$163,000.00 - $338,500.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
