Role Overview:
The Vice President and GM of Payment Products is an executive-level role, reporting directly to the CEO. You will be responsible for launching a new business within our existing operations, with full accountability for strategy, execution, and P&L. This role requires a founder mentality, combining entrepreneurial drive, a passion for building, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to integrate the product successfully. You will work directly with the CEO and founding members of the company to build and launch this product offering.
This is a high potential business opportunity with several blue-chip General Contractors already enrolled.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop the vision, business model, and go-to-market strategy for the GC Payments. Align the product’s development and growth with Billd’s overarching business objectives.
Operational Execution: Build the business from the ground up, leveraging Billd’s existing infrastructure. Establish systems, processes, and partnerships to ensure seamless integration and execution of the program.
Customer Engagement: Work closely with general contractors to understand their needs and drive product adoption. Ensure subcontractor satisfaction by delivering a high-quality solution that meets their financial needs.
Financial & Risk Management: Own the P&L for the GC Payments Product and ensure sustainable profitability. Collaborate with the risk team to develop underwriting models and manage risk effectively. Own all unit-level economics.
Technology & Integration: Oversee ERP and payment system integrations to streamline processes and enhance customer experience.
Skills And Qualifications:
10+ years in financial services, construction, payments, product management, or related industries.
Proven success in launching or scaling new business lines or products.
Strong understanding of general contractor operations, accounting, and payment systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA highly preferred.
Founder Mentality: Entrepreneurial, ambitious, and passionate about building from scratch.
Strategic Visionary: Ability to see the big picture and execute detailed plans.
Collaborative Leader: Strong team-building and cross-functional leadership skills.
Customer-Centric: Adept at understanding and meeting the needs of contractors and subcontractors.
