As a player-coach leading a small team, this role combines direct oversight of day-to-day financial operations with strategic growth initiatives. Based in our Austin headquarters, this leader will be instrumental in building and optimizing our financial infrastructure while supporting our GTM transformation. Key Responsibilities Day-to-Day Operations Oversight of AR/AP, accounting, and monthly close process Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities Manage cash flow and treasury operations Own SaaS metrics tracking and reporting Build and maintain financial models and board materials Implement and optimize financial systems and processes Oversee payroll, benefits, and compensation administration Handle tax compliance and regulatory reporting Lead and mentor small finance team (Sr. Accountant, Dir. Operations) Provide hands-on training and guidance Build scalable processes that can grow with the team Foster collaboration with sales, product, and customer success teams Create documentation and playbooks for key processes Strategic Initiatives Support CEO in fundraising and strategic transactions Guide pricing and packaging decisions Manage board and investor relationships Contribute to executive team planning and execution Required Experience 10+ years finance experience with 5+ years in SaaS companies Proven experience as a player-coach in small finance teams Strong hands-on accounting and financial operations background Experience with VC/PE investors, fundraising and strategic transactions Deep expertise in SaaS metrics and analytics Track record of implementing financial systems and processes Proficiency with current tech stack (Hubspot, Maxio, Excel, GSuite, Quickbooks) Ideal Candidate Profile Hands-on leader who enjoys both strategic and tactical work Comfortable rolling up sleeves while building for scale Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Clear communicator who can explain complex financial concepts Team player who embodies our core values: Leads with integrity in all financial decisions Maintains growth mindset while ensuring financial discipline Drives innovation in finance operations through technology Works collaboratively across all departments Success in First 12 Months Establish robust financial operations and reporting Implement scalable processes and controls Develop team capabilities and documentation
