Job Description
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain and operations strategy aligned with organizational goals. Identify opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and process improvements. Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee day-to-day operations, including procurement, production planning, logistics, and distribution. Ensure efficient use of resources, maintaining optimal inventory levels and reducing waste. Establish and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
Supply Chain Management:
Design and implement supply chain systems that ensure efficient sourcing, manufacturing, and delivery. Build strong supplier and vendor relationships, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring compliance with quality and delivery standards. Lead risk management initiatives to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing supply chain and operations team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the department. Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for team members.
Financial Oversight:
Manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial goals. Conduct financial analysis and reporting for supply chain and operational activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, and finance, to support business objectives. Facilitate seamless communication between teams to ensure alignment on operational priorities.
The Successful Applicant Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain and operations management. Proven experience in a director-level role, with a successful track record of driving organizational transformation.
