About the Role Lead the Distribution Function in (the Central) (the Western) region for Corporate Solutions by aligning and executing strategic priorities with key distribution partners. Focus on developing the Managed Broker segment and implementing the Managed Broker Model. Build collaborative relationships with Underwriting, Claims, Operations, Risk Engineering Services, Finance, and Legal to deliver results. Emphasize multi-line opportunities and strategic propositions. Strategic Planning
Develop a "go to market" Distribution Plan with core goals and strategic initiatives. Coordinate Managed Brokers strategy alignment and communicate with stakeholders. Initiate and execute regional distribution campaigns. Explore the opportunity of alternative distribution models using digital platforms. Business Development
Develop managed broker pipelines focusing on multi-line propositions and regional growth. Advocate specific large deal placements with brokers. Engagement / Broker Service Agreements
Drive the execution of Broker Service Agreements for the Sub-Region. Spearhead due diligence processes and review CorSo appetite. Provide regional input for globally managed brokers. Develop engagement models with regional broker counterparts. Coordinate broker insights and key opportunities. Act as the senior point of contact for the broker to raise and resolve any ad hoc issues. Coordinate thought leadership and innovation with brokers. About the Team The Corporate Solutions Distribution Management Team represents all products and solutions to lead the business development efforts for a portfolio of strategic brokers. About You Must have significant experience in the commercial insurance market (10+ years) including distribution management / business development. College or University degree required. Demonstrate strategic vision, strong business acumen, and results orientation. Possess deep knowledge of distribution partners. Exhibit effective influencing and negotiation skills. Promote innovative ways of working within the organization. Have a solid understanding of data and analytics for business decisions. Show personal accountability for decisions. Cultivate strong relationship-building skills across the team and organization. Maintain a broad industry network with key stakeholders. Able to interact effectively with senior executives. Strong interpersonal skills for managing cross-functional teams. For San Francisco, CA, the estimated base salary range for this position is $143,000 to $256,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation. Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week.
