Job Description:
This position would be responsible for lecture material related to RC 2015: Respiratory Care Science II., Lec 4; Cr. 4. in a classroom setting. The adjunct instructor will perform didatic duties including examinations, quizzes (if required), and remediation in a face-to-face format. The adjunct will also report to the program director any concerns resulting in at-risk students including completing remediation/ counseling forms for any examination grade that falls below 80%. This is a course policy that is heavily addressed with the student. The remediation/ counseling form will also provide the student recommendations to rectify any deficiencies in order to successfully pass this course. The adjunct will also assist the program director in maintaining student learning outcomes related to RC 2015.
Job Responsibilities:
95% Curricula and Teaching - Act as a teacher and professional role model in the
clasroom setting. Supervise/ evaluate student performance and assigning a grade.
Provide remediation to serve as an assessment tool and counseling as needed.
5% Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate of Science in Respiratory Care
Must have at least 5 years experience
Must be registered as a Respiratory Therapist
Must have medical surgical/ICU and ER experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Care
Must have 5 years experience
Must be registered as a Respiratory Therapist
Must have medical surgical/ICU and ER experience.
CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR LICENSES:
RRT
Adjunct must be Registered as a Respiratory Therapist.
