Semicoa, a division of OSI Optoelectronics, is seeking an Assembly Operator that will assemble electronic components from written to oral instructions under a microscope using tweezers. This individual will work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. They may also perform Solder Dip/Test procedures, and may support Dicing Saw/Die Load/Auto Wirebond/Lid Seal /Die attach functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assembly of electronic components from written to oral instructions under a microscope using tweezers.
  • Adheres strictly to company policies and procedures.
  • Cross trained in other related assembly areas as production demand requires.

  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous work experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment helpful.
  • Familiarity with third optical inspection, eutectic die attach, and ultrasonic wire bonding desired.
  • Good written and oral English communication and basic math skills.
  • Requires excellent manual dexterity.
  • Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, grip, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly assembles small objects using tweezers while looking into a microscope.
  • Required to sit and lean with head bent forward at the neck.
  • Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
  • Uses critical thinking skills to create original documents, reports and spreadsheets and interpret information furnished in written, oral or schedule form.
  • Able to make set goals based on available information and to plan work to meet deadlines.
