Rapiscan, an OSI Systems Company is seeking a Temporary E/M Assembler 3, based out of Billerica, MA.

You will be performing a wide variety of electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production assembly and subassembly operations on complex capital equipment. You will build and test baggage inspection for airports, container inspection for ports and mobile inspection vehicles for boarders and special events.
As a highly skilled specialist, you will complete complex tasks in creative and effective ways with very few errors. You need to be enthusiastic and self-motivate, and work well with others in a team with little supervision.
Responsibilities- Candidate should have experience performing a wide range of electromechanical assembly with demonstrated skill cabling systems, connecting and torquing large and small assemblies.
- Candidate should have a strong mechanical and electrical background and knowledge of general hand tools.
- Assembly operations may include tasks such as drilling, reaming, burnishing, and tapping.
- Knowledge of crimping and pull testing of crimps.
- Ability to maintain productivity and to proactively move between job assignments without specific direction.
- Understanding of 5S principals and personal accountability for workspace and tooling.
- Willingness to work outside as required in non-ideal conditions while upholding quality and safety principals.
- Ability to check BOMs, manage inventory and send communications as necessary, and to complete accurate, timely paperwork.
- Can transition easily between product lines without much training.
- Assembly will require use of online manufacturing documentation, following sequenced. online instruction, and maintaining production record books on-line.
- Knowledge of bills of materials (BOM) structure and ability to read and interpret assembly and schematic diagrams required.

- High School diploma, GED or applicable work experience and 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work on vehicles and on large gantry structures required.
- Comfort working at heights from a ladder or manlift.
- An enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude thriving in a rapidly evolving environment.
