Position:

The Special Events Associate is part of the Stadium Operations department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.

Job Description

The Special Events Associate will primarily assist the Special Events team with the execution of select, non-game day events. This role will contribute to increasing overall efficiency and business growth for revenue-generating events at Allianz Field. This part-time position is based at Allianz Field in St. Paul, MN and reports directly to Special Events Specialist.

Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):

  • Manage Allianz Field Tour Program, which includes responding and communicating with interested tour groups via email and phone, proactively reaching out to prospective tour groups, scheduling tours, organizing tour agreements and payments, leading full-stadium tours and booking tour guides. This includes being knowledgeable about the stadium, team and club current information and its history.
  • Acquire knowledge of Allianz Field's booking system VenueOps, to view stadium calendar, book meetings and tours, prepare/ send invoices and enter payments.
  • Assist Special Events team with set-up and tear-down of meetings and events at Allianz Field. This includes taking photos capturing the space, layout, and the overall environment of various events.
  • Manage the scheduling, set-up and tear-down of internal MNUFC and stadium vendor meetings and events at Allianz Field.
  • Per availability, attend Special Events staff meetings, event meetings, calls and walk-throughs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry products and trends, identifying opportunities for MNUFC and Allianz Field experience.
  • Responsible for focusing on attention to detail, taking initiative, and creating a positive working environment.

Preferred Experience
  • Minimum one-year prior experience in an event-type role.

  • Outstanding communication skills, including in-person and email.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow timelines.
  • Able to work flexible schedule.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Access to reliable transportation

Compensation:

Our compensation range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour (non-exempt).
