Job Description
As Vice President Social Strategy at Razorfish, you will be joining our 80+ person social practice within our fast-growing Consumer & Content Experience discipline.
In this role, you will be a social strategist for one of the largest fintech brand - specifically joining a team dedicated to managing organic social marketing that drives engagement, builds trust, and positions the brand a key player in the financial services industry.

Compensation Range: $164,800 - $235,620 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. In this role, you will be a social strategist for one of the largest fintech brand - specifically joining a team dedicated to managing organic social marketing that drives engagement, builds trust, and positions the brand a key player in the financial services industry.
Responsibilities
- Leading Strategy Development: Spearhead the strategic planning process, leveraging data-driven insights to craft content strategies, build engaged audiences, and amplify the client's reach across social platforms.
- Industry Expertise: Stay ahead of trends in the social media and content landscape, providing smart perspectives on emerging platforms, best practices, and innovative engagement tactics that can be applied to client strategies.
- Driving Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader on content development, platform optimization, audience engagement practices, measurement frameworks, and streamlined social processes, helping elevate both client and internal team capabilities.
- Social Governance & Policies: Partner with clients to create robust governance frameworks and escalation policies, ensuring consistent and effective management of social channels, including handling sensitive or high-stakes scenarios.
- Building Partnerships: Develop and nurture relationships with third-party content providers, creators, and platform representatives to explore new collaboration opportunities and secure access to first-mover platform features.
- Client Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, presenting actionable strategies and collaborating on specific brand initiatives to align social efforts with broader marketing and business objectives.
- You come highly skilled, know what makes things trend, and know your way around complex, always on social programs focused on creating and producing culturally relevant high-quality assets quickly and at scale.
- You have worked with fintech or financial services brands, which means you understand how to engage with diverse audiences around topics like financial wellness, digital payments, and personal finance. You know how to build trust, grow engaged communities, and partner with the right platforms to amplify reach and impact. In other words, you have the connections and expertise to get the right stakeholders "on board" to move initiatives forward efficiently and effectively.
- You are highly organized, have excellent communication skill - knowing the "art" of how to align multiple stakeholders and teams around shared visions and strategic goals.
- You are a "thinker" AND a "do-er" - able to quickly internalize strategic asks, build presentations with big ideas and detailed plans, author strategic point of views, and "connect the dots" across a complex and fast-moving organization with multiple priorities and projects.
- You have proven experience managing a large team of social creators and makers, strategists, data analysts, and community managers from junior to manager level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- 12+ years of experience working in social marketing at an agency or in-house for a large well-known brand
- Proven experience in a senior social strategy role, ideally within the fintech or financial services industry
- You have an insatiable drive to uncover what's next in the ever-evolving digital world
- Deep understanding of media planning, content distribution, and syndication strategies that drive results
- Proven ability to inspire and lead innovative thinking in the digital space, encompassing content, media, social platforms, and activation
- Skilled at developing strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners
- Well-versed in emerging technologies, cutting-edge content solutions, and the latest developments in social media. You're also tapped into fintech trends and cultural moments that resonate with diverse audiences
- A deep understanding of what drives consumer behavior and how to translate those insights into impactful strategies
- Poised, articulate, and persuasive-you know how to present ideas that clients trust and act on
