As aDental Assistant you will:+ Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies+ Collects and records patient health histories, take impressions and x-rays+ Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures+ Prepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.)+ Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed+ Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies+ Cleans/polishes removable devices; fabricate temporary restorations, custom trays, study models+ Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient+ Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff+ Assist administrative team with customer service functions+ Present treatment plans to patientsEducation and Experience:+ High school diploma or equivalent+ Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred+ Previous customer service or office experience+ Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days indental terminology and dental software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.+ Strong verbal and written communication skills+ Foster a positive attitude and be a team playerHours:Monday through Thursday 7:30am to 5:00pmPowered by JazzHR
