Position Overview:
We are seeking a professional, organized, and proactive Receptionist/Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position requires a resourceful individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates exceptional computer skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and manage the reception area to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule meetings, update calendars, and handle clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and transcribing.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Enter attorney time into Timeslips and process weekly payables.
- Copy, organize, and retrieve case files, including evidence, exhibits, and pleadings.
- Open new files and update existing ones.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on assigned cases or projects.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
- Professional attitude, appearance, and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Customer service-oriented with a resourceful and proactive approach.
- Previous experience with office equipment and in an administrative role is preferred.
