LHH is seeking a skilled Legal Secretary for a law firm in Birmingham, MI to support the corporate practice team in Birmingham. This is a dynamic role for a detail-oriented, organized professional who excels in client service and thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality administrative support to 4 attorneys, ensuring client-focused professionalism.
  • Edit, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memos with precision.
  • Handle document management, including drafting, filing, and closing preparation for corporate transactions.
  • Transcribe dictation, maintaining accuracy and a professional appearance in all documents.
  • Answer and route calls courteously, manage incoming mail, and coordinate document delivery.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and ensure deadline adherence.
  • Enter, proofread, and finalize billing information accurately.
  • Manage client files, including opening, maintaining, and closing in line with retention policies.
  • Arrange travel, conference calls, and meeting preparations.
  • Provide overflow support and assist with other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s in legal studies or related field preferred.

Experience:

  • 2+ years as a legal secretary or related law firm experience.
  • Familiarity with corporate law and document management.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal document management software.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and proofreading abilities.
  • Excellent communication and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of iManage or similar systems.

Salary: $55,000-$70,000

Pay Details: $55,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
