LHH is seeking a skilled Legal Secretary for a law firm in Birmingham, MI to support the corporate practice team in Birmingham. This is a dynamic role for a detail-oriented, organized professional who excels in client service and thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality administrative support to 4 attorneys, ensuring client-focused professionalism.
- Edit, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and memos with precision.
- Handle document management, including drafting, filing, and closing preparation for corporate transactions.
- Transcribe dictation, maintaining accuracy and a professional appearance in all documents.
- Answer and route calls courteously, manage incoming mail, and coordinate document delivery.
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and ensure deadline adherence.
- Enter, proofread, and finalize billing information accurately.
- Manage client files, including opening, maintaining, and closing in line with retention policies.
- Arrange travel, conference calls, and meeting preparations.
- Provide overflow support and assist with other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s in legal studies or related field preferred.
Experience:
- 2+ years as a legal secretary or related law firm experience.
- Familiarity with corporate law and document management.
Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and legal document management software.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and proofreading abilities.
- Excellent communication and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of iManage or similar systems.
