Middle and High School Special Education Teacher

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide academic and behavioral support to middle and high school students with mild to moderate disabilities. This is a full-time position for the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with students, parents, and other team members.
• Provide direct and indirect instruction to students in a variety of settings, including general education classrooms, resource rooms, and small group settings.
• Modify curriculum and instructional materials to meet the individual needs of students.
• Utilize data-driven instruction to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
• Participate in IEP meetings and other related meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid California Special Education Teaching Credential (or eligible for Multiple Subject Credential with Special Education Authorization)
• Experience working with middle and high school students with mild to moderate disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team of professionals
• Passion for helping students reach their full potential
