About the Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team and provide vital services to students in Atlanta schools for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. You will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and treating students with speech and language impairments. As a valued member of our team, you will collaborate with teachers, therapists, special education teams, and families to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure each student receives the support they need to thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students in a school setting.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in a variety of settings within the school environment (caseload details will be discussed during the interview).
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, special education teams, and families to facilitate communication and ensure coordinated care.
- Document progress and outcomes effectively in accordance with professional standards.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and best practices in school-based speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCCs) or eligibility for CCCs (CFYs welcome).
- Current and valid Georgia state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with pediatric populations in a school setting (preferred).
- Strong clinical reasoning and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to their success.
