TRG is seeking a dynamic Data Analyst to provide the Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration (ETA), Office of Job Corps (OJC), with Data Integrity, Research, and Evaluation (DIRE) support services.
Job Corps is a national residential training and employment program established to address the multiple employment barriers faced by opportunity youth throughout the United States. The program provides comprehensive career development services to students, including academic, career technical training, independent living skills, career readiness and success training, and support services. The intent of this unique combination of Job Corps' services is to prepare youth for obtaining and maintaining gainful employment, pursuing further education or training, or satisfying entrance requirements for careers in the Armed Forces.
This position is currently on-site, and work will be performed at the customer facility at The Department of Labor headquarters located at 200 Constitution Avenue NW, Washington DC, or at the TRG headquarters in McLean, VA.
Core hours are between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collecting and analyzing large datasets using statistical tools and techniques
- Design, test, and refine a data dashboard using Tableau or other similar software for Job Corps executives and regional offices to assist with data-based decision making, in conjunction with the Job Corps Data Center and other related teams
- Maintaining Job Corps reporting portals and dashboards and ensure accuracy of data shared with internal and external stakeholders
- Generating analytical and summary reports based on new risk management tools.
- Analyzing significant incident reports, behavior infractions, and similar data related to Job Corps' safety and security; and generate
- reports and recommendations.
- Providing as needed technical training and assistance to the National Office and regional offices regarding data visualization
- Creating visualizations, infographics, and dashboards to effectively communicate model results and findings derived from data analysis
- Developing and implementing data models and algorithms to extract meaningful insights
- Identifying trends, patterns, and correlations within the data
- Creating visualizations and reports to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Providing recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic decision-making
- Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security
- Other duties, as assigned
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with two years of related experience is required
- Candidate's favorable result/outcome of a public trust background investigation required
