D.C. United is seeking a talented Email Marketing Seasonal Associate. Your role will be crucial in supporting and amplifying our marketing efforts by assisting in the planning, executing, and analyzing of email marketing campaigns. Working closely with the marketing and content team, you will develop creative and engaging email content, manage subscriber lists, and monitor campaign performance. This position will work across D.C. United and Audi Field, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented work environment.
A successful candidate must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in email marketing and a strong understanding of email marketing principles. They will also have experience creating, executing, and tracking email campaigns. Additionally, the successful candidate should understand customer segmentation, personalization, and the ability to use data to drive decisions. A creative approach to email marketing and a solid ability to think strategically are essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation, execution, and tracking of email marketing campaigns to engage customers.
- Create effective content with a creative approach.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop compelling email content and subject lines.
- Manage subscriber lists and ensure data accuracy.
- Conduct A/B testing to optimize email performance and engagement.
- Track and analyze key email marketing metrics.
- Support the implementation of marketing automation workflows.
- Ability to be present outside of the typical “9-5” business day during the season to manage email communications such as Breaking News, Player Transactions, etc.
- Provide clear, consistent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualification Requirements

- Must be a recent graduate who has completed a technical, associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree within the previous eighteen months from a qualifying educational institution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
- Creative thinking and ability to develop engaging content.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot). (preferred, but not required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of HTML and CSS (preferred, but not required).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidate should understand customer segmentation and personalization and the ability to use data to drive decisions.
- A creative approach to email marketing and a solid ability to think strategically is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Base pay is one part of the total compensation package and is determined within a range. The good faith anticipated base pay range for this role is shown below, and actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experiences, location, and other business and organizational needs.
Anticipated pay: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour.
