SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Warehouse Lead to support daily warehouse operations and logistics. This role will assist the Warehouse Manager in executing warehouse functions, with a focus on shipping and receiving with experience in inventory management. The Warehouse Lead will play a key role in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining inventory control and improving overall efficiency. The ideal candidate is reliable, works effectively with minimal supervision, and demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities. They will also excel in collaborating with both internal teams and on-site customers to streamline logistics and deliver exceptional service.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and provide feedback to warehouse manager on operational challenges to improve delivery efficiency
- Coordinate order fulfillment by picking, packing, and verifying items, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring safe and timely loading for shipment while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Safely unload and inspect incoming shipments, verify against purchase orders, update inventory systems, and organize stock in designated locations while handling any returned items or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with warehouse support staff the proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory to ensure easy access and accurate tracking to ensure efficient and timely management of stock
- Maintain accurate stock levels by regularly updating inventory records and conducting routine counts. Identify and report any discrepancies or damaged goods to ensure inventory accuracy and quality control.
- Facilitating communication with Sales, Customer Service, and Order Processing teams on time sensitive deliveries and inventory availability
- Provide support to the Production lead in filter customization and other assembly tasks, as needed
- Operating "straight" trucks, vans, or automobiles along established routes as necessary
- Driving in a safe and lawful manner, maintaining an acceptable driving record
- Performing routine cleaning and maintenance on the Fleet commercial motor vehicles
- Ensuring timely completion of all required paperwork
QUALIFICATIONS
- Over 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving, with a focus on supervising and supporting warehouse operations in a distribution environment.
- Strong knowledge in inventory management and order fulfillment
- Strong listening, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient in using cloud-based ERP business software, (i.e, NetSuite or SAP for example)
- Demonstrated accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Precision in measurement tasks
- Ability to adapt to operating a table saw
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the workday
- Capability to handle boxes and tools
- Proficiency in reaching with hands and arms
- Occasional requirement to climb stairs or ladders
- Regular lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds
- Using a hand truck, the employee must regularly push and pull loads ranging from 180 to 250 pounds
- Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions while performing job duties
- Moderate to loud noise levels in the work environment, with occasional instances of loud noise
