Warehouse Process Improvement Coordinator
We are looking for a responsible Warehouse Process Improvement Coordinator to create a culture of continuous improvement across departments by developing and leading training, identifying and guiding process improvements projects within departments, and reporting and implementing project results.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Process Analysis and Evaluation:
- Conduct detailed evaluations of existing warehouse workflows, procedures, and systems.
- Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Use time-motion studies, value stream mapping, and other tools to document current processes.
- Process Design and Optimization:
- Develop innovative solutions to improve warehouse operations, including inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
- Recommend and implement lean methodologies, Six Sigma practices, and other process improvement frameworks.
- Standardize processes to ensure consistency and reduce variability.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Gather, analyze, and interpret operational data to monitor warehouse performance.
- Create dashboards, KPIs, and reports to communicate progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop predictive models to anticipate and mitigate potential issues.
- Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other stakeholders to implement process changes.
- Provide training and support to ensure the adoption of new processes and tools.
- Act as a liaison between warehouse teams and upper management.
- Technology Integration:
- Research and recommend warehouse management systems (WMS), automation tools, and other technologies to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of new systems.
- Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot and enhance technological solutions.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all process improvements adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for new workflows.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the warehouse.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage process improvement projects, from initial concept to full implementation.
- Develop project timelines, allocate resources, and track milestones.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or process improvement roles.
- Strong understanding of lean principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.
- Project management experience and certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with automation technologies and systems integration is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 33lbs and be comfortable using or being on a scissor lift or cherry picker.
