Job Description
General Summary
The Warehouse Dropship Supervisor is responsible for training and managing employees who perform daily warehouse functions. He/She reports production and task progress as well as develops solutions to improve efficiency; supervises shipping and receiving of product and maintains high customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the customer service team and any other related departments. Maintain a safe working environment that meets fire and safety standards as well as OSHA requirements. Effectively utilizes the company’s WMS/ERP.
Primary / Key Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Manage and direct teams to complete shipping, receiving, and project goals on a schedule
- Maintain production standards and devise means of improving workplace efficiency
- Train new staff and elevate potential of current staff
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees
- Report metrics and information consolidation to provide up to date relevant to warehouse goals and workforce planning. Maintain items record, document necessary information, and utilize reports to project warehouse status
- Reconcile any inventory variances
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction as relevant to job description
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven experience in a lead role managing at least 5+ individuals
- MS Office Suite experience
- Experience with forklifts and related equipment
- Interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability
- Excellent organizational skills
- Calm disposition and ability to work under fast-paced and stressful workloads
- Business Central preferred
Education and/or Experience and Qualifications
Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED
Minimum Experience: Basic computer skills along with one to two (1-2) years’ warehouse lead experience, in a warehouse environment
