Location: East Grand Forks, MN
About: Lumber Mart, Inc. is a full-service lumberyard, truss manufacturing operation, and hardware store that strives to provide the best in customer service.
Pay: $19-$25 depending on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30-5:30 (1 hour lunch)
Saturday 8:00 – 5:00 (1 hour lunch) (Saturdays on a rotating schedule)

As a Yard/Warehouse Associate at our lumber yard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our yard and warehouse. You will be responsible for handling lumber and building materials, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of lumber and building materials.
• Assist customers in loading and unloading materials, always providing exceptional service.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the yard and warehouse, ensuring materials are easily
accessible and properly labeled.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and store materials safely.
• Cut lumber and other materials to specific lengths using saws or other tools as needed.
• Keep the yard and warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping, disposing of
debris, and maintaining safety protocols.
• Assist with assembling and preparing orders for delivery to customers and construction
sites.
• Collaborate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and excellent
customer satisfaction.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a warehouse, construction, or lumber yard environment preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks in
all weather conditions.
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately measure and cut materials.
• Experience operating forklifts or willingness to obtain forklift certification.
• Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Forklift certification or experience operating other heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Experience with basic carpentry or construction tasks.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks that involve bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
