Arlington Coal & Lumber Co is hiring: Forklift Operator in Wilmington

Wilmington Builders Supply is seeking energetic and hardworking individuals to join the team as a Forklift Operator at our lumberyard. The position duties include driving a forklift, pulling orders and loading lumber and building materials, unloading shipments and other essential duties needed. Heavy lifting is required, and Forklift experience is preferred.

Job Duties:

• Ability to load and unload a truck in a safe and proficient manner
• Ability to pull orders according to procedures
• Ability to operate forklifts, trucks, and power tools in a safe manner
• Assists supervisor and other employees as needed
• Restock materials and take and maintain knowledge of inventory items
• Clean and organize warehouse and lumberyard
• Be able to follow through and complete routine and special tasks in a timely and professional manner with a minimum amount of supervision
• Ability to be at work on time and for the fully scheduled shift
• Be able to wait on customers and be able to communicate and interact with a respectful, positive, and pleasant manner
• Other general tasks as necessary to the normal functioning of the lumberyard
• Able to read and write

Minimum Requirements:

• Forklift experience required, certification preferred
• High school diploma or General Education Degree
• Strong communication skills
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
• Ability to reach overhead to grasp materials
• Ability to be on feet for 8 hour shift
