Job Description
Kemper CPA Group LLP, a top 100 public accounting firm, is a multifaceted regional CPA firm with 26 offices in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and California. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a seasonal Receptionist position in our Mt. Carmel, Illinois office. Candidates may only be considered for fully onsite schedules. Additional hours outside of tax season may also be available.
This position is responsible for providing support to Kemper CPA Group LLP’s accounting practice. A strong sense of customer service and the ability to build relationships is essential to be successful in this role. Experience with general office support, scanning, photocopying, filing, and receptionist coverage is required. This position is full-time from January 2025 to April 2025 and will pay $20/hour.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide high level support to personnel.
- Communicate with clients in-person, on the phone, through email or other written correspondence.
- Help maintain schedules for office staff.
- General administrative tasks – word processing, photocopying, filing, and scanning.
- Receptionist duties, including answering the phone and assisting clients in person.
- Data entry and support for bookkeepers and payroll staff.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two to three years of administrative support is preferred.
- Ability to display a professional demeanor while also effectively communicating verbally and in writing to clients and staff in a respectful and professional manner.
- Acute attention to detail with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work toward deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility.
- Experience and judgment to plan for and accomplish goals.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as clients and vendors.
- Experience with general office support, scanning, photocopying, filing, and receptionist coverage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
