HireQuest Direct is seeking Certified Equipment Operator with expertise in operating Mini Excavators, Trackhoes, and Skid Steers. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with these machines, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. This role requires the operator to work on a variety of job sites, performing tasks such as excavation, grading, trenching, and material handling.

Note: These positions are considered temporary/contract. This position is projected to last for an extended period of time and be full time with potential for overtime.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Safely and efficiently operate Mini Excavators, Trackhoes, and Skid Steers to perform excavation, digging, grading, and material handling tasks.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Work closely with the crew and supervisor to execute project plans and meet deadlines.
  • Assist in site preparation, digging trenches, and removing debris.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification in operating Mini Excavators, Trackhoes, and Skid Steers (required).
  • Proven experience operating the listed equipment in construction or similar industries.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and machinery maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical ability to operate heavy equipment for extended periods and in various weather conditions.
  • Pass a Drug Screen
  • Willing to undergo a background check

Salary: $23/hr

Shifts: 1st shift (mon-fri, some weekends)
