Senior Embedded Systems Engineer - Defense & Aerospace Washington DC Metro Area (Hybrid/Remote Possible) | TS/SCI Clearance Required Overview Join a leading defense technology company revolutionizing edge computing and secure connectivity solutions for government and defense applications. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge hardware initiatives and drive architecture across multiple customer deployments. Position Impact You'll be part of a new team developing custom hardware and embedded solutions for critical national security applications. Your work will directly impact end users across the US Government and allied forces, solving real-world challenges that can't be addressed with existing commercial solutions. Key Responsibilities Architect and develop high-performance software solutions meeting stringent security requirements Process high-bandwidth sensor and network data streams for real-time analytics Develop bare-metal/RTOS embedded software for ARM/RISC-V targets Program and control System on Chips (SoCs) and FPGAs Collaborate with hardware engineers on board bringup and testing Debug hardware-software interfaces and system integration Design solutions optimized for Size, Weight, Power, and Cost (SWaP-C) constraints Required Qualifications Active US Security Clearance (TS/SCI preferred) 2+ years of software development experience Strong proficiency in C/C++ or Rust Experience with hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, PCI, AXI) Understanding of IP networking fundamentals Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) Linux kernel and driver development FPGA programming and integration Defense/aerospace industry experience Embedded systems architecture design Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $100,000 - $250,000 Competitive Equity Package Comprehensive Benefits Package Professional Development Opportunities Location & Work Environment Primary location: Washington DC Metro Area Hybrid work options available for the right candidate Some in-person presence preferred We are actively hiring 2-4 engineers for this role with a target to fill positions within 2-3 months. #J-18808-Ljbffr
