The Hardware Design Engineer performs an assortment of complex engineering duties in the development, design, and implement of hardware for embedded systems ensuring that the project objectives and schedules are met. Measures of success: Functional Specifications Circuit Schematic Circuit Simulation Printed Circuit Board design Purchase Specification Production support Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develops, designs, and implements hardware for embedded systems ensuring that the project objectives and schedules are met. Support production with the life cycle demands of current products. Creates Circuit Schematic/Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design Coordinates and participates in hardware design reviews. Documents and archives releases in accordance with company software development process. Develops product requirements specifications and product functional specifications. Works closely with a team of other highly skilled engineering professionals to solve cross functional design issues and deliver top quality products to the end user. Provides technical expertise on embedded hardware to multiple project teams, sales and marketing, quality services and customers. Assists in the resolution of product based technical issues. Required Skills Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with a strong background in hardware design. A minimum of five (5) years of embedded systems hardware development. Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools. Excellent organizational, communication and teamwork skills. Experience with HVAC residential and commercial control systems, schemes and PID loop control. Experience with electrical test equipment, (i.e. logic analyzers, scopes, spectrum analyzer and multi meters, etc). Required Experience
