Job Description:
Tek84 is seeking an Electrical Engineer responsible for electromechanical design, test/verification and support of X-Ray Equipment product lines. A successful candidate will develop, evaluate, and improve products / processes using their knowledge of product design. This position combines hands-on work (prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, fabrication) with accompanying documentation (schematics, layout, assembly drawings, procedures, test reports).
Role / Responsibilities:
· Provide electrical testing and support to the Hardware Engineering Group and Operations.
· Electromechanical Design:
o Cable/Harness Design
o Redline Implementation
o PWA Schematic / Layout Review
· Create/Maintain Schematics, CAD files and Bill of Materials.
· Identify/validate alternate parts for production.
· Documentation Control (adherence to Engineering Change processes).
· Actively work with manufacturing technicians to ensure design is properly implemented and perform testing to ensure design is fully vetted.
Educational Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
· Knowledge of electronics theory, including electronic components and their functions.
Prior Work Experience:
· 1 – 5 years hands-on experience in an Engineering role, working directly with electromechanical systems.
· Experience writing technical documentation, drawings, work instructions, test reports, manuals, etc.
· Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and block diagrams.
· Experience with troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems to the component level.
· Work in a team environment with manufacturing, software engineering, customer service group.
· Experience with motion control systems (desired).
Skills:
· Software:
o Altium Designer (or similar)
o SolidWorks (or similar)
o Visual Studio (or similar)
o Microsoft Office Suite
· Hands On:
o Surface Mount Soldering / Electrical Harness / Cable Assembly Fabrication (IPC 610 familiarity)
o Test Equipment: Digital Multimeter, Oscilloscope, etc.
o Hand Tools / Machine Shop Familiarity
