Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer 5
Location: Onsite in Mountain View, CA
Contract Duration: 6 to 18 months
Hourly Pay: $80/hr. - $85/hr.

Job Summary:
The Hardware Design Engineer 5 will play a critical role in researching, designing, developing, and testing computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, and scientific applications. This position focuses on developing and augmenting post-silicon (post-Si) test generators, ensuring effective performance and reliability of computer hardware systems. The role also involves contributing to the manufacturing and installation processes of computer equipment and related components.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and enhance post-Si test generators to support efficient hardware validation.
• Collaborate in hardware testing and optimization processes to meet industry standards.
• Ensure thorough testing of computer components across pre-Si and post-Si stages.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
1. Deep Knowledge in Test Techniques
o Experience Required: Minimum 10 years
o Expertise in pre-Si Design Verification (DV) test techniques and their application to post-Si test .
2. Constrained Random Test
o Experience Required: Minimum 10 years
o Proficiency in constrained random test and techniques to ensure comprehensive hardware testing.
3. Programming and Platform Proficiency
o Experience Required: Minimum 10 years
o Extensive experience with Python and C/C++ programming, familiarity with base metal and Linux OS, embedded software development, and version control tools such as Git and Perforce.
Additional Skills:
• Strong background in both pre-Silicon simulation and emulation platforms.
• Comprehensive understanding of pre-Si and post-Si coverage metrics and practices.
• Previous experience in developing and refining tools and methodologies for hardware design and validation.
• Exceptional software development skills, particularly in hardware-oriented applications.
