POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Hospital Recruiter manages the recruitment and onboarding processes, serving as the primary contact for new hires. The role includes responsibilities in human resources management, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and employment laws. The Hospital Recruiter will also support workforce planning, assist with retention strategies, and contribute to a positive employee experience.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Prior experience in recruitment or human resources required, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Skills:
- Proficiency with HR software, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruitment & Workforce Planning:
- Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
- Post job openings on various platforms, including online job boards, social media, and internal networks.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
- Facilitate employment offers, negotiate terms, and prepare offer letters.
- Track recruitment metrics to evaluate hiring processes and improve efficiency.
- Onboarding:
- Coordinate and conduct new hire orientation sessions.
- Ensure completion of all pre-employment paperwork, including background checks and health screenings.
- Create onboarding schedules tailored to individual roles.
- Serve as a liaison for new hires, providing support during the transition period.
- Human Resources Support:
- Assist with employee relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
- Support annual reviews, employee recognition programs, and training initiatives.
- Retention & Employee Engagement:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee retention.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback for trends.
- Organize employee engagement activities, including wellness programs and team-building events.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Prepare reports on recruitment, onboarding, and HR activities for leadership.
- Monitor updates in labor laws and recommend necessary policy changes.
- Social Media & Branding:
- Enhance the companys employer brand through strategic use of social media and job boards.
- Create engaging content to attract talent and showcase organizational culture.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage special projects assigned by the HR Director.
- Provide guidance on workforce planning, including temporary staffing and internal promotions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in healthcare recruitment.
