The HR Generalist/Recruiter will play a key role in supporting our employees throughout their journey at Ascentec, ensuring they thrive both professionally and personally. This role is crucial to maintaining our compliance and fostering a positive work culture. The selected candidate will proactively support all phases of onboarding, offboarding, leaves of absence (FMLA, STD), conduct workplace investigations, benefits administration, attend/coordinate recruitment events, and facilitate open enrollment with limited supervision.

This HR professional will offer a high level of problem-solving and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure all status changes and HR initiatives are streamlined and run effectively and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience with HR Generalist duties and recruitment experience.

This position is onsite at our Dallas, Oregon location and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

HR Administration & Onboarding: Collaborates with the HR team on onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, ensuring accurate data entry and compliance in HR systems. Prepares separation documents, conducts exit interviews, and ensures smooth transitions for departing employees.

Recruiting: Partners with Dallas High School to create a manufacturing program. Conducts virtual and in-person meetings and presentations with community organizations, schools, educators, and other community constituents.

Leave & Benefits Management: Champions leave management, including ADA, Workers' Compensation, FMLA, OFLA, and PLO. Serves as the main point of contact for leave-related inquiries, manages tracking in HRIS, coordinates with payroll, and ensures compliance. Manages workers' compensation claims and communication with third-party administrators. Oversees benefits enrollment, terminations, COBRA administration, and resolves billing issues.

Employee Relations: Leads efforts in resolving workplace concerns and conflicts, conducting investigations, and advising on performance and disciplinary actions. Facilitates regular check-ins to promote open communication and a positive work environment. Offers coaching and guidance to managers and employees on HR policies and practices.

Compliance & Policy Management: Stays up-to-date with federal, state, and local employment laws to ensure compliance. Maintains and distributes employee information, policy manuals, and other communications. Suggests improvements for department efficiency based on HR trends.

Company Initiatives & Events: Supports departmental and company-wide initiatives and assists in planning and executing employee recognition and communication events.

Company Engagement and Recruiting: Will prepare for and attend both virtual and in-person recruitment events. This includes participating in local community tabling events, and a variety of virtual and/or in-person meetings, presentations, and networking opportunities with community organizations, schools, educators, and other community constituents.

Other Duties: Performs general HR duties and projects as assigned to support the team and the organization's needs.

Job Qualifications (Abilities, Behaviors, Education, Knowledge & Skills):

•Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business, two to five years of HR experience, and certifications like PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP.

•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize, take initiative, and follow through on projects independently.

•Adaptable, resourceful, and effective in a fast-paced, changing environment; willing to support team members as needs evolve.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional, customer-focused attitude.

•Maintains confidentiality with sensitive HR matters, demonstrating honesty and high integrity.

•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Work primarily takes place in an office environment, with occasional visits to the production floor. Regular activities include sitting, standing, and engaging in conversation. Compensation & Benefits:
•$60,000 to $75,000 DOE
