Robert Half is on the hunt for an HR Generalist to join a dynamic team in Hood River, OR. This is a great opportunity for a proactive HR professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to tackle a variety of HR responsibilities, from recruiting, to benefits administration, and more! This is a contract position with potential for contract-to-hire if it's a good fit!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Develop creative recruiting strategies to attract top talent and address hiring challenges, especially for bilingual roles.
  • Conduct background and FBI checks for candidates, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
  • Administer benefits, including sick time, PTO, and open enrollment support when that time comes.
  • Provide support to employees on benefits-related inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Work closely with a diverse workforce, including a significant number of Hispanic employees, to foster an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Assist with HR tasks such as maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and supporting the HR team on special projects as needed.


  • Prior experience in a generalist HR role. ideally with recruiting experience.
  • Kromos experience preferred.
  • Strong recruiting skills with the ability to develop innovative strategies to attract candidates.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with bilingual employees and candidates.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and benefits administration processes is a plus.
  • A collaborative attitude and a passion for supporting a diverse and dynamic team.
