Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for all HR functions, such as the recruiting process – assist in the creation of job descriptions and coordinating interviews with candidates (via recruiter(s)) and the proper company employee(s).
  2. Employee training; assist in coaching and counseling.
  3. Handling sensitive internal HR issues, including terminating employees.
  4. Update required HR materials (handbooks, policies, and procedures).
  5. Review all legal agreements.
  6. Ensure the company is in compliance with the Parent Company’s compliance programs and appropriate training.
  7. Participate in the risk management review and coordinate the resolution of issues with the parent company’s insurance department and the insurance broker.
  8. Participate in insurance claims activity, including reporting to senior management and creating policy and procedures.

Qualifications:

  1. At least 5-10 years of experience in all areas stated above.
  2. Successful track record in setting priorities, keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
  3. Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external individuals.
  4. A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Japanese speaking preferred but not required.
