Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all HR functions, such as the recruiting process – assist in the creation of job descriptions and coordinating interviews with candidates (via recruiter(s)) and the proper company employee(s).
- Employee training; assist in coaching and counseling.
- Handling sensitive internal HR issues, including terminating employees.
- Update required HR materials (handbooks, policies, and procedures).
- Review all legal agreements.
- Ensure the company is in compliance with the Parent Company’s compliance programs and appropriate training.
- Participate in the risk management review and coordinate the resolution of issues with the parent company’s insurance department and the insurance broker.
- Participate in insurance claims activity, including reporting to senior management and creating policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
- At least 5-10 years of experience in all areas stated above.
- Successful track record in setting priorities, keen analytic, organization, and problem-solving skills which support and enable sound decision making.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize, negotiate, and work with a variety of internal and external individuals.
- A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.
- Japanese speaking preferred but not required.
