Location: TI Communities Corporate Office - 1125 Executive Cir #100, Irving, TX 75038

Employment Duration: Full Time (M-Th In-person, Remote Fridays)

Salary: $80K to $85K/year + housing discount + bonus eligibility + benefits + 401K

YOUR FOCUS:

  • Serve as the go-to expert for employee relations, helping foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Lead the creation of HR communications that are clear, concise, and aligned with our company values.
  • Manage and resolve employee concerns with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality.
  • Partner with department leaders to provide HR support, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee development.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are communicated effectively and applied consistently across all teams.
  • Assist in talent acquisition efforts, employee onboarding, performance reviews, and training & development.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist with a strong focus on employee relations.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with a talent for crafting policies, procedures, and employee documentation.
  • Thorough knowledge of labor laws and best practices in employee relations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Bilingual Spanish.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee Relations

  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Address and resolve workplace conflicts through mediation, coaching, and communication strategies.
  • Conduct investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and allegations, ensuring confidentiality and impartiality.
  • Advise managers and supervisors on effective employee relations practices to build strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Facilitate exit interviews to gather insights on employee experience and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Promote and lead diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts across teams and departments.

Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including ADA, FMLA, EEOC, and OSHA regulations.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory updates, recommending policy adjustments as needed to mitigate risk.
  • Conduct regular audits of HR policies, procedures, and practices to identify potential compliance gaps or liabilities.
  • Develop and enforce workplace safety protocols in alignment with legal standards and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel to manage risks related to employee disputes, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all employee relations activities and compliance efforts to safeguard the organization.
  • Train managers and employees on topics such as workplace harassment, discrimination, and legal obligations.
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies, such as improved communication channels or enhanced documentation processes.
  • Proven experience or ability to communicate with internal and external attorneys and legal counsel.

Policy and Process Oversight

  • Draft, update, and communicate HR policies related to employee conduct, workplace safety, and compliance standards.
  • Oversee disciplinary action processes to ensure consistency, fairness, and adherence to policies.
  • Support internal audits or investigations related to workplace safety, employee relations, or compliance concerns.

Data-Driven Insights

  • Analyze trends in employee relations and risk management to recommend proactive solutions.
  • Develop and present reports to leadership on key metrics, such as employee satisfaction, turnover, and compliance performance.
