Human Resources / Subcontract Administrator
Hybrid position (Local to DMV area highly preferred)
Full-time opportunity
$110,000 - $130,000/year + Benefits
Description:
Partner with management to understand and resolve employee relations issues, including providing guidance on company policies and procedures, advising on disciplinary action, writing performance improvement plans, and addressing general concerns.
Maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Ensures alignment with Global Alliant, Inc's policies and business objectives.
Conduct employment-related investigations and work with legal counsel as necessary.
Support processes through the employee lifecycle, including performance management, organizational change, and conduct issues.
Provide ongoing employee support on human resources-related matters, policies, and procedures.
Assist in developing KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and managing employee recognition programs.
Review employee handbooks for legal compliance, maintain, and update as required.
Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment standards, and company policies.
Ensures all employment practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
Develop and deliver training for managers on various topics.
Review HR processes and suggest changes to improve efficiency and scalability.
Perform other special projects or duties when required.
Prepare, negotiate, and administer subcontracts, including modifications, amendments, and renewals.
Ensure subcontractors meet performance standards and adhere to the terms and conditions of contracts.
Resolve subcontractor-related issues, including disputes and compliance matters.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all subcontracts and purchase orders.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and client requirements.
Assist in the preparation of subcontractor reports for project stakeholders.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Assist in sourcing and evaluating potential new vendors/subcontractors.
Conduct periodic performance evaluations and manage feedback loops.
Required Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong knowledge of employment law and best HR practices.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources or related business field. Masters degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP) is a plus
7 to 10 years experience in HR, preferably with 3-5 years of experience in subcontract administration.
Experience working with government contracts and compliance regulations (FAR/DFARS knowledge is a plus).
Experience in performance management, employee relations, and the ability to apply this information in a manner compliant with relevant employment law.
Multi-state employment law experience is required.
Prior experience with employment-based immigration is required.
