Job Description
Job Purpose
CandyCo is in need of an HR Business partner to help the HR Department with strategic coordination of business expansion. This position will be responsible for staffing multiple new production facilities, coordinating systems upgrades, and the coordination of training and onboarding. This position will partner with business leaders and managers to address HR needs during the expansion, promote employee engagement, lead organizational growth and strategies, implement talent management strategies, and foster a positive organizational culture. The ideal candidate will have a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. They should possess strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, be collaborative and team-oriented, and demonstrate the highest level of confidentiality in all matters
Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership:
- Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business goals and align HR strategies with overall organizational objectives.
- Provide consultative support and advice to HR team and managers on all HR-related matters, including workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development.
Talent Acquisition & Organizational Growth:
- Assist in strategy to staff the organization, including the HR Department, with the opening of new buildings
- Evaluate CandyCo's current recruiting and hiring process and identify opportunities to streamline process
- Manage talent pipelines and support recruitment efforts for key roles.
- Evaluate and identify opportunities to streamline process for temporary staffing strategy
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Foster a positive work environment by proactively addressing employee concerns, conflicts, and providing coaching to managers.
- Conduct employee investigations
Performance Management & Development:
- Support the performance management process, ensuring that feedback and development conversations are productive and aligned with business goals.
- Partner with leaders to identify skills gaps and assist in the creation of training and development plans.
Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure HR practices comply with legal requirements and organizational policies.
- Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of HR policies and practices.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, provide insights, and recommend solutions to improve employee performance and organizational effectiveness.
- Work with leadership to assess HR metrics and determine action plans.
HR Project Management:
- Lead or support key HR projects such as new system implementation, diversity and inclusion initiatives, leadership development programs, and compensation reviews.
- Implement or manage HR programs that support business objectives, such as employee recognition initiatives, training, or wellness programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field - or equivalent experience in HR
- 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a business partner or strategic HR role.
- Bilingual strongly preferred: Written and Verbal skills in both English and Spanish
- In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Proven experience in policy development and organizational growth
- Proven experience conducting investigations and writing investigation reports
- Proven experience in talent management, employee relations, and performance management.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to improve business outcomes.
Working Conditions
- Must be flexible and available to support any/all shifts as needed for training, events, or other HR needs
- Standing/walking for long period of time
- Must be an avid Safety Champion and adhere to all safety programs and procedures
Physical Requirements
- Non-slip shoes required when on the production floor (s)
- Hair restraint, beard net (if needed), and Safety gloves as needed
- All required PPEs are worn properly when working with equipment or chemicals that require personal protection
- Position requires the ability to: stand, sit at a desk, walking around the facility, lifting and carrying up t0 50-LBS unassisted, reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting
- Also requires the ability to: see, hear, and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette
Direct Reports
- HR Administrator and HR Specialist will have a dotted-line reporting structure to the HR Business Partner.
