Position Summary:
- This role supports the entire organization onboarding new hires by: working with candidates on the new hire roadmap, collecting and verifying confidential information, continually keeping hiring managers up to date on new hire process, and ensuring New Hire Experience is positive for each new employee. These are very fast paced positions juggling the duties of new hires as well as working with the HR team on all Compliance documentation. These positions work independently and must make many judgement calls in the moment. Customer service is paramount to ensuring the compliance department runs smoothly and professionally.
- Please note that this is a strictly entry-level role and is not intended for candidates with advanced experience in the field.
Schedule:
- Hybrid; 2-3 days in office a week
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field
- OR 1 to 3 years equivalent in an entry level Human Resources position or Administrative Assistant in a Human Resources department
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Working in a fast paced environment and with confidential information
- SHRM, PHR, or SPHR
- ADP experience
Certification/Licensure:
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Drivers License
- Valid Auto Insurance
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides customer service through telephone and walk in interactions with internal and external customers
- Contact new hires after offer acceptance and communicate with new hires throughout onboarding process ensuring onboarding completion
- Keep HR business unit leaders and hiring managers informed throughout the process
- Conduct pre-employment background checks and employment vertifications on potential employees, MVR, FCSR, Federal Criminal, OIG and MOVECHS fingerprint check
- Assist with new hire experience and orientation
- Collect and complete I-9 documentation
- Collects and reviews all Physicals, Drug testing, and TB completion
- Responsible for ADP file uploads as needed
- Create and maintains accurate employee and contractor files
- Collects the new hire information and enters into the HRIS system
- Provides accurate data entry of employee records into the HRIS system for changes: Merit raises, promotions, department changes and other changes
- Monthly duties: DOL reporting, I-9 terminations and tracking
- Conducts internal and external audits
- Completes Employee Reports when needed
- Provides general information and answers questions regarding the application of human resources policies and procedures to employees; refers questions or concerns requiring policy interpretation to more senior representatives as appropriate
- Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and regulations
- Maintains appropriate privacy and confidentiality in all processes and paperwork
