ECS is seeking a full time HR Assistant to work in our Fairfax, VA office in a hybrid capacity.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the human resource department. In collaboration with the entire HR Team, this role provides superior support and expertise to a wide range of internal and external clients. The HR Assistant will be proactive, resourceful and efficient while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Duties/Responsibilities
Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Oversee the onboarding process using ADP, ensuring new hires have a seamless and engaging experience.
- Prepare and manage onboarding documents, including offer letters, I-9 verification, and benefits enrollment.
- Conduct new hire orientations and serve as a resource for questions related to HR policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding process with the IT Team, including exit interviews and the return of company property.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and programs.
- Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational requirements.
- Serves as a liaison for security clearance investigators and court ordered subpoenas.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Support HR audits and assist in the preparation of reports related to HR functions and metrics.
- Assist in benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee inquiries.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Support HR reporting and audits as needed by maintaining accurate employee data and documentation.
- Assist in generating reports and tracking key HR metrics related to recruitment, onboarding, and employee satisfaction.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in human resources
- Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems, preferably ADP, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of HR compliance, labor laws, and best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
