Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Williamsburg, NY (On-Site, Full-Time)
Salary Range: $65,000-$80,000 based on experience
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM

Position Summary
The HR Generalist will manage key Human Resources functions including recruitment, employee onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This individual will serve as the primary HR point of contact, ensuring HR processes are efficient and aligned with company goals. The HR Generalist will work closely with leadership and cross-departmental teams to support the overall growth and culture of the company.
Responsibilities
· Manage recruitment processes: Post job openings, screen candidates, and ensure a smooth recruitment pipeline.
· Collaborate with department leads for interviews and hiring decisions.
· Lead onboarding processes, including conducting orientations and overseeing onboarding specialists.
· Manage employee credentialing and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
· Administer employee benefits, including overseeing open enrollment and handling employee inquiries.
· Conduct employee relations activities: Investigate employee concerns, conduct disciplinary actions, and manage the offboarding process.
· Maintain the HRIS system and collaborate with payroll for seamless operations.
· Develop and maintain HR-related standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Provide training and compliance updates to staff, ensuring HR policies are clearly communicated.
· Drive HR projects and manage performance review cycles.
Success Measurements
· Day 1: Complete onboarding and access all software tools, begin learning company background and processes.
· 30 Days: Successfully onboard 10-15 employees, manage a team of 4-5, and demonstrate baseline understanding of all HR processes.
· 60 Days: Achieve full mastery of HR tools, complete internal HR audit, and document all HR processes.
· 90 Days: Full accountability for recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and compliance processes, including credentialing and terminations.
· 1 Year: Achieve less than 10% unstaffed cases, lead retention programs, execute social media recruiting strategies, and ensure 100% HR compliance with Department of Labor regulations.
Requirements
· 2-3 years of Human Resources experience
· Advanced HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
· Experience managing onboarding, employee relations, and compliance processes.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and related HR tools.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with high emotional intelligence.
· Must be proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
