Human Resources (HR) Generalist - Your Job Duties:
You will own the HR function for a multi-company organization with a total of approximately 140 employees. Support employee development initiatives, onboarding, recruiting, HR compliance and performance.
Employee Relations & Development
- Serve as a point of contact for employee queries, providing guidance and support on HR policies and procedures
- Handle employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances professionally, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies
- Assist in the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback sessions.
- Support managers in addressing performance issues and developing action plans for improvement
Employee Onboarding& Offboarding
- Conduct new employee orientations and manage the onboarding and offboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and terminations.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job posting to interviewing, selection, and offer process.
Compliance
- Ensure company policies are updated in accordance with labor laws and regulations.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Payroll & Benefits
- Process all 401k contributions, process enrollments and loans
- Complete and audit payroll changes in the form of benefit deductions and salary changes. Process all wage garnishments
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management
- Provide guidance to employees on benefit options and manage the annual benefits enrollment process
Special Projects
- Participate in HR initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing employee engagement, improving processes, and supporting business growth
- Monitor HR metrics for KPIs and performance
- Minor office manager duties, including but not limited to supply monitoring and ordering
Human Resources (HR) Generalist - Required Skills, Experience & Fit with Our Team
- You have previous experience and a well-rounded knowledge of human resource (HR) including employee relations and compliance matters
- You possess a strong Emotional I.Q. (“E.Q.”) – you work well with many different personality types and can support both craft labor and the executive team
- You bring options, ideas and solutions to human resources situations
- You're a hands on doer and a strategic builder – you can create, implement and run initiatives
Human Resources (HR) Generalist - Desired, Not Required
- Bilingual Spanish
- Human Resources certification (PHR / SPHR / SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP or related)
- Knowledge of union labor relations, union contracts, or prior experience in a labor relations role
This role is based out of our office in Rancho Cordova and is 100% in office role.
Compensation $75,000 - $85,000+ based on experience base salary plus incentive bonus potential.
In addition, the company will provide you with a training and development budget to invest in your continued accounting education.
